“Channeling my inner Wong Kar Wai” is such a pretentious thing for me to say. The City itself made it effortlessly cinematic for us:
the dark, dingy alleyways of Central —
The old school neon signs of SoHo and Sheung Wan —
An old world mode of transportation juxtaposed with haute couture billboards along Des Voeux Road.
— they’re all part of Hong Kong’s charm; even mundane things such as buying freshly squeezed fruit juice from a mom and pop shop, or waiting for a tram — they all look cinematic. Oh, I’m in halation heaven. Hashtag neondreams.
